In the Community

Every year, Dr. Hughes gives back to the community in a variety of ways, by taking interest in the many activities his patients are involved in. Over $25,000 goes back into the lives of his patients, the schools they attend, and the community he works in.

“We have been patients of Dr. Hughes for several years and are always pleased with our experience and appreciate all he does for the community. Dr. Hughes is a big supporter of the Springfield area schools health and fitness events, but one event in particular that stands out in my mind is the Pyramid Challenge.

“This is a fun-run event that involves many of the Springfield-area schools, but is also a food drive that yields thousands of pounds of canned food for ECHO. I will never forget seeing Dr. Hughes himself running alongside the kids, cheering them on, and having fun with them. It was really neat to talk with him outside the office and let him know how much we appreciate all he does for our school. It’s things like this that make me love the Springfield community even more!"
