GIFTED SMILES

David Hughes Orthodontics is proud to participate in Gifted Smiles, a program of the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation (AAOF) that helps provide needed orthodontic treatment to children whose families may not otherwise have access to care. The program was created to connect qualifying children with volunteer orthodontists and has helped children across the country receive professional orthodontic treatment that supports a healthier smile and a more functional bite.

Through Gifted Smiles, eligible children may have the opportunity to receive orthodontic care if they meet certain program requirements. According to the AAO, general eligibility includes being 18 or younger, having a total family income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, receiving regular dental care with good oral hygiene, and not having had previous orthodontic treatment or current treatment in progress.

Dr. David Hughes is honored to support this effort to expand access to life-changing orthodontic care in our community. If you would like to learn more about the Gifted Smiles program or find out whether your child may qualify, we encourage you to contact our office for guidance and visit the American Association of Orthodontists for current program details and eligibility information.
